"Cherish those who speak the truth but beware of those who find it." - Voltaire

Greetings Delegates!

In the realm of diplomacy, strength often lies in numbers. The power of collective action and collaboration cannot be overstated. It is with great pleasure and utmost enthusiasm that we extend our heartfelt welcome to each one of you attending the Model United Nations conference at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad. We, as students of this institution, are guided by the ethos which is “Education for Life.” As the Secretary General, I am honoured to have the opportunity to address you all and reaffirm our commitment to providing a truly exceptional and enlightening experience throughout the duration of this conference.

As we navigate the complexities of our ever-changing world, it becomes increasingly evident that our collective efforts are necessary to address the multitude of challenges we face. Recent years have witnessed a surge in health crises, economic disasters, environmental emergencies, and human rights violations across the globe. The Shiv Nadar School Model United Nations conference seeks to embody the spirit of collaboration and resilience as we confront these urgent issues headon.

The carefully curated agendas of our five committees reflect the paramount concerns of our contemporary society, echoing the passionate advocacy of young activists around the world. From bridging the gender digital divide to safeguarding the rights of child refugees, the agendas under discussion hold significant relevance in today's global landscape. It is through meaningful conversations, respectful deliberations, and concerted collaborative efforts that we will strive to generate innovative solutions to these pressing challenges.

Shiv Nadar School provides a platform for students to be the makers of change, to shape a better future and to advocate for a more sustainable and fair society for people today. As there are a plethora of different committees to participate in, all of which have agendas deeply rooted into our modern landscape, delegates are encouraged to research assiduously to further deepen their understanding of their committee’s procedures. We welcome your participation in the conference, and wish you success.

Thank you and good luck,
Ashutosh Sundresh
